With Clickatell, FirstGlobal was able to offer a variety of banking activities via SMS, such as balance enquiries and real-time transaction alerts. It could also send SMS reminder alerts – for example, about loan payments, thus maximizing revenue and reducing unnecessary interest charges.
FirstGlobal has seen a significant decline in the number of fraud cases being reported. Fewer support staff are required to handle manual queries and paper-based communications because more transactions can be accomplished via SMS.
