10DLC Additional Brand Verification Steps

What is 10DLC additional brand verification? 

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the security and reliability of the United States A2P messaging ecosystem, The Campaign Registry (TCR) has introduced an additional step called Authentication+ (Auth+), which affects brands registered for 10DLC messaging. This update requires that publicly listed brands complete an email-based verification process to confirm the identity of an authorized representative of the business. 

This extra layer of security helps carriers and the TCR ensure that only legitimate brand representatives are managing and submitting information for SMS campaigns — a move aimed at reducing spoofing, impersonation, and fraud. 

This process must be completed before a brand can be successfully submitted or updated in the TCR registry. 

What do I need to do? 

If you are a brand owner or an authorized representative: 

  1. Fill in the form to submit a business email address (e.g., john@yourbrand.com) that matches your organization’s domain name. 

  2. Clickatell will register this business email address with TCR, and this will trigger a verification email. 

  3. Click the TCR verification link sent to that email. This link is valid for a number of days. 

  4. Enter your full name and job title to complete the process. 

We will guide you through this step and send reminders as needed. If no business email is submitted within 10-20 days, we may proceed in using the email address currently on file, which could lead to delays if not verified. 

Why is this important? 

This verification process is a mandatory part of TCR’s enhanced security requirements. Completing it ensures that: 

  • Your brand registration is approved without delays.

  • Your campaigns can be launched as scheduled. 

  • You remain in full compliance with US carrier and messaging regulations. 

If you’ve received an email from Clickatell requesting this information, please follow the instructions as soon as possible to avoid any disruption to your SMS services.
