What is meant by the Chat 2 Pay billing type?

Billing Type is a setting on the Chat 2 Pay Payment Settings configuration screen that allows a merchant to decide if their customer should type in their billing details as part of the checkout experience. This applies to our current Cybersource Integration.

Any customer-supplied billing information will be shown on both the Order Confirmation & Payment Summary Page.

There are 3 different Billing Types:

Billing type Description
Full

When you select this option, customers will be presented with a checkout page requesting them to input all their billing details, i.e.,

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Country
  • Address
  • Address 2
  • City
  • Postcode
Partial

When you select this option, customers will be required to input partial billing details only, i.e.,

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Post Code
None

When you select this option, your customer will only be required to input:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
