What is the process for applying to use the WhatsApp Business API?

Getting started with your application to make use of the WhatsApp Business API is super easy! From within your Clickatell Platform portal dashboard, select ‘Get started with WhatsApp’ and follow the prompts throughout the easy wizard-driven process.

You’ll need to complete all the required information regarding your WhatsApp business account application – specifically including information about how you will be using the channel.

All applications will need to be approved by WhatsApp before your business will be verified and able to engage with your customers. Clickatell will submit your application for you, but it’s important that you know that we have no control over the approval of your application. We’ll do our best to make the process as easy and seamless as possible for you and will keep you updated every step of the way. Before we can submit your application directly to WhatsApp, it will need to meet the inclusion criteria as determined by WhatsApp. Please review the eligibility requirements for a WhatsApp Business account here.

The WhatsApp for Business program comprises various pricing plans to best meet the messaging needs of each business. Please review the pricing here. For very low volume usage (which is measured by the number of customers or by the number of messages sent/received), we recommend you consider the WhatsApp application for small businesses.
