Kazakhstan SMS messaging regulations and restrictions

Before you start sending SMS messages to Kazakhstan, please ensure you understand the regulations around messaging. New message regulation policies for Altel and Tele2 were introduced on 3 October 2018. All promotional and marketing messages may only be sent if the end-user has provided his/her prior written consent to receive these messages. Messages may be sent between 10 pm and 9 am (GMT+6) only if the end user has requested this messaging. Non-compliant messages will be considered spam and fined accordingly should the end user lodge a complaint.

It’s a good idea to work with a sales advisor to ensure compliance with all SMS regulations. Get in touch now and set up your messaging program with the help of our experts.

Restriction Description
Opt in End users must opt in to your service. Unsolicited messages will not be sent. Promotional and marketing messages may be sent to users only after explicit opt-in consent is received for your service. Users on the Do Not Call registry should not be contacted.
