How does Clickatell’s SMS pricing work?

We’re constantly negotiating the lowest possible pricing using the best quality routes available for you. Your cost per message is dependent on your currency as well as the country you’re sending to.

Our tiered pricing structure also means that the more you send, the less you’ll pay. For example, you’ll pay tier 1 pricing for the first 9,999 messages that you send and then you’ll pay slightly lower tier 2 pricing for messages 10,000 –  49,999 and so on.

Pricing continues to drop for each tier all the way up to Tier 6 where the cost per message is the lowest.

Choose your sending country and currency in the drop-down menus below to view detailed pricing per volume bracket/tier to send to that country. The table specifies pricing for two types of messages:

  • Standard – Cost effective, reliable delivery via high quality routes. Ideal for promotions or CRM messages.
  • Time Critical – Delivery via premium, direct routes. Perfect for one-time PINs and time critical alerts.

Two-way messaging is also available and the cost displayed is for sending a message from a two-way number which will enable you to receive replies to your messages. Inbound messages on a two-way number are free.

All prices are only an estimate and don’t include VAT or other taxes. Actual prices are determined at the time of sending. We will bill you in either USD, EUR, INR, GBP, or ZAR (depending on where you are). For your convenience, you’ll be able to see estimates on the pricing estimator in a different currency.
