What is the difference between a WhatsApp sandbox integration and a production integration?

Once your WhatsApp Business account has been set up, two integrations will automatically be created in your account – a sandbox integration for development and free testing of various API features, and your production integration for sending and receiving messages. Within the production environment, you'll have full enterprise-grade access to send and receive messages to your customer base.

The sandbox integration can be used to initiate messages from your dedicated WhatsApp business account to up to 3 pre-determined test phone numbers which you can add in your account. Alternatively, you can also simulate message delivery without paying anything for non-test phones. The test phone numbers can be managed from within your Clickatell Platform account.

The production integration is used for sending messages to your customer base, from your dedicated WhatsApp Business number.
