The Solution

The company decided to make use of Clickatell's E-mail to SMS (SMTP) gateway. This application was implemented by having batch scripts sent from any one of 12 global servers at regular times. The scripts send a perfectly formatted SMS message to the user with the latest weather forecast attached.
