Clickatell makes extending your messaging capabilities with two-way SMS simple. You can easily receive messages by making use of our HTTP, SMPP or FTP application programming interfaces, and you can do it from the same account you already use to send messages no matter what connection you are already using.

There is a small switching cost for receiving inbound messages which is currently set at 1/3 of a credit. Outbound messages are charged at the normal rates.

In addition to this there is a once-off setup fee together with a fixed monthly rental for renting a two-way number from Clickatell which you will need to receive messages. These costs vary depending on the type of number you choose. Read more on two-way numbers and pricing.

• Setup is paid in advance.
• Rental is paid 3 months in advance.
• Each Virtual Mobile Number (VMN) range can receive Mobile Originated (MO/inbound) SMS from specific Network Operators around the globe. This is referred to as the Coverage of the VMN. In order to select an appropriate VMN, compare the Countries and/or Network Operators you wish to receive MO SMS from using the Coverage Table provided.
• *The tagging (appending) of additional digits to the end of a VMN in order to create a range of VMNs is only supported on our +44B VMN range. Please note: Not all Network Operators support tagged VMNs. Some Network Operators in the UK support standard length MSISDN and VMN only, and will not support inbound MO SMS on a tagged VMN.
