Premium rate
mobile originated (MO) messaging is currently
available in Namibia, through the use
of dedicated three (3), four (4) or five (5) digit
shortcodes.
A mobile user is billed at a premium/cost each time the user sends a message
to a premium rated number. This is available on CellOne and MTC.
The following Number Types are offered in Namibia:
Dedicated Shortcode
- An exclusive three, four or five digit shortcode
- Any available shortcode may be chosen
- Examples: 123, 555, 5566, 12345, 77777
- A minimum of 500 inbound (MO) messages is required per shortcode
- For MTC or CellOne: setup N$2000 (in advance), monthly rental N$675 (3 months in advance)
- For both networks simultaneously: setup N$2000 (in advance), monthly rental N$1200 (3 months in advance)
- Prices exclude VAT
Revenue Share
Clickatell provides full revenue share to you. Pay-out requires a minimum monthly
volume of 500 MO messages per network. Revenues are paid after ninety (90) days or earlier depending on when the network operator pays Clickatell.
Revenue is split 40/60 between the operator and you, the content provider. Example: If each message sent to your chosen shortcode is charged at N$10, then you will be paid N$6 and the operator will keep N$4.

What does it cost?
Clickatell charges only 1/3 of a credit to receive
messages, regardless of the amount that you charge
for the content or service you are providing.
There is also a once off set-up fee and a monthly
charge for the shortcode.
