2000	Founded in Cape Town, South Africa, Clickatell developed the world's first web-to-mobile messaging products.
2001	Developed industry first real-time, global SMS services for businesses and the world's first pre-paid model for pc-to-mobile messaging supported by multiple, simple Web interfaces and real-time reporting.
2002	Launched Messenger-PRO, a standalone PC application whereby users could manage their entire messaging needs from their desktop.
2003	Became the world's first mobile messaging provider to reach over 500 operators.
2004	Created the world's largest mobile messaging developer community.
2005	Developed world's first mobile messaging application showcase.
2006	Merged with Multimode Inc. to offer complete multimodal functionality, i.e. "any message, anywhere." Established Silicon Valley headquarters to further growth and international expansion.
2006	Clickatell Joins with Oracle to drive enterprise messaging.
2006	Clickatell establishes a US east coast office in Alexandria, VA., and appoints Senior Wireless and Mobile Messaging Executives To Meet Growing Enterprise Demand
2007	Clickatell secures funding from Sequoia Capital and establishes additional presence in the US.
2007	The European Commission's Joint Research Centre selects Clickatell to run its EMM (European Media Monitoring) SMS alert service.
2007	CNN chooses Clickatell to power SMS breaking news service
2007	Clickatell, global provider of messaging solutions, has provided the South African Parliament with an SMS alert service to support communication at the 118th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in South Africa
