Pieter De Villiers

Pieter is the CEO and one of the four co-founders of Clickatell. Starting his career in 1997 in the optometry field; Pieter has over 9 years of sales, new business management and product development experience under his belt. During this time, he took a radical shift in his career and accepted the opportunity for a partnership offer and moved into the IT sector. He joined Micrologix in 1999, whereby his primary responsibilities included the identifying of internet-related opportunities and the management of its e-commerce strategy. |
Pieter recognized early in the game the need for a single point of entry for global text delivery was essential for market penetration and adoption of this new mobile technology. So in February 2000, Pieter made the decision to invest in developing mobile communication strategies and became a founding member and CEO of Clickatell. Today, Clickatell is recognized as a worldwide leader in mobile messaging providing 'any message, anywhere' services to over 10,000 global enterprises.
Pieter participates in various forums and interest groups including but not limited to the GSM
Association (www.gsm.org), Wireless Internet Caucus (www.ctia.org), Open Mobile Alliance
(www.openmobilealliance.org), Wireless Application Service Provider Association (www.waspa.org.za) and the
Mobile Data Association (www.mda-mobiledata.org).

Apart from his participation in various forums and interests groups, Pieter de
Villiers has presented, on numerous occasions, his thoughts on the mobile messaging value
chain at a number of mobile conferences in the US, Europe and Africa. His most recent
event, being the CTIA Wireless in the US this year. |
Casper de Villiers

Casper de Villiers is founder and Operations Director at Clickatell. Previously, Casper successfully managed the finance and operations during
the initial start-up phase, and due to Clickatell's fast expansion into other geographical regions, has concentrated on company operations for the past 7 years.
Casper de Villiers is responsible for the complete global messaging supply chain and has played a key role in developing the world-class service
centre that currently services Clickatell customers around the globe. He also manages the system administration for Clickatell's global messaging platform. |

Completing his studies in Retail Business Management in 1994 and ending the year with a Singapore exchange program, gave Casper an early start to the
international standards of customer service and business logic. As co-founder of retail business, and managerial roles at various companies, Casper gained
valuable experience in the conceptualization, implementation and operational management of a business. |
Patrick Lawson

Patrick is one of the four co-founders of Clickatell and holds a dual role as Futurist and Chief Scientist at Clickatell.
Patrick is responsible for assisting in the operational arm of Clickatell, as well as the strategic technology initiatives and research of new messaging protocols.
Patrick has over 15 years of experience in IT management, development, website enablement and Internet strategy, e-commerce, client liaison and training. At the start of his career, Patrick was responsible for the design and implementation of the first commercial South African web site. |

One of the four original founders of Clickatell, Danie was the custodian of our brand and
product offering until 2005. Sadly, after a long battle with leukaemia Danie passed away on
August 16th, 2005.
We recognise his vision and contribution in establishing Clickatell as one of the leading
messaging providers in the world, through pure determination, passion and a drive for
excellence and simplicity - core elements our company values to this day.
Our thoughts continue to be with Danie's family as they deal with the loss of a
remarkable individual as we continue to track the 'footprints' Danie left in the company
that are inspiring till this day.
